The National is a luxury hotel, located directly on a pristine stretch of Miami Beach. The National is a member of Summit Hotels & Resorts, a collection of the finest independent hotels and resorts around the world. Lying amidst tropical gardens by the one-of-a-kind 205-foot “infinity” pool, you would not believe that the lively day and nightlife of Miami’s trendy South Beach is just beyond the next palm tree. The hotel is minutes to fine dining, shopping and entertainment.

Miami’s National Hotel is one of the few hotels in Miami’s trendy South Beach that offers first-class style and amenities for a reasonable price.
Located in the heart of Miami’s Art Deco District, right on oceanfront Collins Ave, lies the National Hotel. A throwback to 1940s style, staying at the National makes guests feel like they’ve stepped back into an old movie.
Art Deco architecture and an elegant atmosphere are the defining characteristics of the National. Friendly and helpful staff are there to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and everything one could want is available in an instant.
Rooms at Miami’s National Hotel
The rooms are divided into two distinct areas: the historic tower and the cabana wing (whose rooms overlook the infinity pool). And for the truly indulgent (not to mention wealthy) there’s The Triplex: the three-level penthouse suite.
The ‘historic tower’ rooms are clean, elegant, and have everything one could need (complimentary cable and Internet, on-demand movies, telephones with private voicemail, fully-stocked mini-bar, etc.). The rooms are somewhat small, but the size is fairly standard for South Beach hotels. The décor is elegant and sophisticated and has definite boutique leanings.
The cabana rooms are a real treat for those who choose to stay in them, with luxurious amenities like European linens and flatscreen TVs.
The National Hotel Pool Area
Without a doubt, the best thing about the National Hotel is its one-of-a-kind, 205-foot-long infinity pool, and outdoor tropical seating area. The pool itself is often considered to be Miami’s most beautiful, and it’s easy to see why. Nestled between rows of palm trees, it’s an oasis in the middle of bustling South Beach. Indulgent and relaxing poolside massages and spa services are offered for those who need to relax after a long day of shopping or a long night of partying.
The outdoor bar, the Aqua Bar, offers up a decent-sized menu of tasty treats, as well as a good selection of cocktails. The prices aren’t cheap, but they’re not outrageous for the area. Go up to the bar and order, and the friendly staff will bring food and drinks right to the poolside lounge area, or lie back in the sun and the staff will come to you. Visit the bar once the sun goes down and the torches that light up the area will make it seem more like a tropical island than south Florida.
The National Hotel is located in the center of bustling South Beach and is within easy walking distance of some of the area’s best shops, restaurants, and sights. Only a block from Lincoln Road and only a few minutes away from Ocean Drive, there’s no better area to stay. Getting there is easy since it’s only a few miles from the airport.
Any vacationers headed to South Beach should definitely check out this glamorous hotel. It’s one of Miami’s best.
